Has anyone booked a room through the univeral web site

and have any trouble at check-in. When I called Universal for rates they gave me higher rates then the ones I got online. When I told the lady that online those rooms were much cheaper she said they were sold out of that rate but they were still avaliable online. She said when you book online you are not garanteed your room type.

Just curious anyone have any problems booking on line at the Universal web site?

I booked one of the Universal Studio Vacation packages last year and had no problem with any part of it. I received a big, sturdy envelope with all the itineraries about 2 weeks after I reserved. I had checked off the box online for the $35 upgrade to club level and also used the "buy 4, get the 5th night" master card deal. I also checked off for Discovery Cove reserv. on the US site and everything worked just fine.

I have booked online 2 times so far & never had a problem checking in. In fact, they didn't charge my crdit card for my first night until the day I checked in.

We have booked rooms online as well. I can't see how they can say you room type is not guaranteed, when in fact you paid for it.

I don't understand that either. But she did say my room type was not guaranteed if you book online. Also, the same room online was more money when you called.

Well, I have my reservation for a Bay View room @ a cost of $254 in writing, so they had better guarantee my room type or there will be trouble.
I have always booked my hotel rooms online and prefer to do so because I do have written confirmation.
