Has anyone booked a night before and after 1 night package and stayed in same room?

Hi everyone. I'm in the beginning planning stages of my Tokyo trip. I was happy I scored a 1 night unlimited package for April at the Mira Costa. These are the new packages and the unlimited only had the 1 night option. I was hoping to get a night before and after. If I'm lucky enough to get same room type, does anyone know if I can connect my reservations and stay in my room? Has anyone done this?

I booked a night preceding 2 back-to-back packages. I managed to stay in the same room for the first night and both packages. I tried calling, but I was never really certain that they understood what I needed. I ended up emailing them. There was an email to contact with issues. It's not guaranteed, but it seems to happen frequently.

Here is the online form for hotel inquiries. I submitted a request including my two confirmation numbers (one night room-only, one night package, same room type) and they responded within a business day that they confirmed I could stay in the same room. When I checked in, the front desk confirmed I was there for two nights and it was like it was one combined reservation.

I submitted my request maybe 10 days or so before my check in day, as the form said it could take a week to get a response.

If you are able to stay in the same room over different reservations, don’t need to check out and back in with each subsequent night and have tk get your key re-issued, or will they just treat it like one continuous stay?

Thank you everyone for your replies. This info is very helpful. I'm hoping once reservations open up I will get lucky with the same room type 🤞

I did not have to check in or check out or get a new key for the 2nd night, it was treated like one stay. But I would recommend emailing so they can note it ahead of time, just in case. It's possible they would do this anyways when they see back to back stays but I didn't want to risk it!

They gave me all my stuff, 2 room only and 2 packages when I checked in. Didn’t have to do anything for the same room.

Same here, my package and additional nights stay were in the same type of room category and we just did the check in once and was able to stay in the same room. They let us know this at check in, I never contacted them. I’m sure it’s a common occurrence and they are prepared for it since they only offer short stay packages.
