I thought with our upcoming trip to do things that we have not done before. The sports complex is one of the them. Is there anything to do or is it just neat to walk around. Thanks. :earsgirl:

We were there in Oct. 2000 my DD's cross country team ran there. There really isnt much to see unless you are there for an event there is the all stars cafe we had a drink there but we werent impressed. On a side note DD's team won and they got a really cute Mickey trophy

I ate lunch at the cafe on Wednesday. Anyone into sports would enjoy it. Multiple big screen TVs all around, memorabilia, etc. The food -- okay. What you would expect. (there are even themed booths. One is a huge catcher's mitt.)
You can walk around, and there is the ever present gift shop. :rolleyes1
It nice if you want a quiet diversion. Unless you have a car, it is not easy to access. I think MGM has the only regular bus route to WWoS. (Unless you are with a sports event.)
I have been inside the main stadium building and there is sports memorabilia there too. I do not know if any guest has access to that when they are not with a specific sports event.

We walked around the fields in the complex a few years ago and enjoyed ourselves on a beautiful day. We ate lunch and found it to be fine. Other than seeing beautifully maintained athletic facilities, a gift shop, and a restuarant, there isn't much else - so your expectation is set correctly. I'm glad we did go once, but I wouldn't do it again.

We have been there several time for DH's softball tournaments but went one time when we were just down for vacation and there was a NFL experience spot set up, like they do at the all-stars and, I think, Super bowl games. YOu could throw passes for distance/accuracy, tackle, time runs, etc. I know this was not a permenant attraction and don't know if they even have it but you could check w/ Guest Relations to see if anything is going on there.
The often have softball/baseball tournaments and the Braves do spring training there so if you go during that time. You just have to see what is going on when you are there.

Also the cafe is not open all the time so you should check on that too if you are thinking about going for that.
