Hi everyone! I'm so excited, and had to ask all the folks in the know all about this!

DH and DS took a week and went up to Michigan to a friends cabin for "guy stuff" ( I call it fishin and scratchin! ::yes:: ) so I could get some art done here...

Well DH called today and said he heard that Lion King was going to be in Detroit and wondered if I could get some tickets...

Woo Hoo...HUGE surprise for my son...whose 8...

I got the tickets, last 2 on friday night...cost a FORTUNE but they are 4th row center... And I'm sooooo excited for them!!

So PLEASE tell me it was worth $400. for a once in a lifetime treat for the 2 of them! :)

Thank you!!!

It is a wonderful production. I have seen it both on Broadway and here in Chicago. You will LOVE it, enjoy!!!!!

It is an awesome show. I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes at the opening song. I'm sorry you won't be able to go too, it is unbelievable!

Me too!:sad2: But hubby travels a lot and our son doesn't get much time alone with him...so this is really incredible for them. I still may get a chance to see it...

I think hubby is more excited than I am. He is just going to show up at the theatre and then tell our son what's up.

Thank you guys, I knew I could depend on you!

So worth it!

DH is gonna owe you big time for getting these tickets!!!

We saw it in London last month. It was great. My DW cried during the opening.

You'll love it!

Your husband and son will be in awe. We took our son and his college roommate to the Broadway production. We waited almost a year for tickets after it opened. It was unforgetable!

There are some things money can't buy... treasured memories with the ones we love are priceless.

It's worth every penny and then some :) I saw it in New York two years ago and it was magical. It's going to be in Boston this summer and I can't wait to see it again :Pinkbounc Bought my tickets the day they went on sale.

That is EXACTLY what I was thinking!! I have wanted to see it since it came out on Broadway...I'm thrilled they can do it!

Dan, if you meant get a 3rd ticket, I literally bought the last 2 in the place...I can't believe the seats were what they were...

It's ok, if it touches them like I think it will, they'll gladly go again!

Very worth it....don't second guess yourself on that at all. I saw it a few years back when my friends and I were in NYC performing in the Macy's parade. Awesome show....we weren't sure what to expect, but we left stunned at how fabulous it was.

Enjoy :)

Just saw a week ago today in NY. SO worth it. I'm still listening to the CD and singing the tunes.

Thanks everyone for all the input, as usual the Dis is the best! :wave2:

:teeth: :flower3: :cloud9: (I love all the new smilies!)
