Has anyone been to gatorland or orange picking?

The title says it all. If you have done both or either, did you like it? Worth doing? Thanks!

We just got back from Gatorland. It is a lot of fun if you go in not expecting it to be as glitzy as WDW or Sea World. We enjoyed talking with the "wranglers".

Ive been to Gatorland. Honestly I loved it. I wasnt expecting to, I didnt even want to go my husband did, But It was one of my fav things. I really liked it.

We've done both!
Gatorland when kids were 5 and 8...excellent 1/2 day outing. Kids loved it!
Orange picking when kids were 10 and 13...had lots of fun. There's a great place about 15 minutes from Disney called Showcase of Citrus. They give you an orange citrus bag and off you go. Great photo ops, too!

Oh, one more question. Can they both be done the same day? Orange picking earlier, gatorland later? Thoughts?

Yes they can be both done on the same day. It would only take an hour to pick oranges even if you pick a lot which we don't. Half day at gatorland. They are in opposite directions from each other but still doable.

Yup been to both.

The pick u own fruit countless amount of times. We love it and have fruit our whole holiday.

Gatorland 3X's. My family love the gators and additional creepy crawlies. I enjoyed the walk through the park.

What a great idea! We were looking for something to do on one of our "off" days and the orange picking sounds great! One more reason I love the disboards.

Gatorland was absolutely worth it but only if you see the shows. I think you could skip the train ride and be none the wiser but don't miss the shows. Plus, there's a Super Target on the way there/back so you can stop off and get necessities before heading back to WDW. We got wine there on the way back from Gatorland.

BTW, can you pick oranges in November? We'll be there the week before T-giving and would like to do this.

gatorland was only about $13, but that's all it was worth. it was kinda fun and different.
don't do the long "tail" though.. just a long, hot hike in misquito ridden jungle!
see the shows. definitely.

never did the orange pickin sounds good ... but gatorland is sooo worth it... like the others said its hokey and touresty and alot of fun... just get the hot dogs to feed the gators the photo ops are great they all charge for the dogs mouths wide open... do the little shows, snake 1 was gd, bird 1 was good..train was good for a 5 yr old they hide stuffed alligators during the ride to find...got my pix sitting on an alligater..priceless...and the kids(they tape the alligators mouth shut) but you put yr hands over the tape so it is really fun..it was soo hot we sat on these great big lawn chairs and changed into suits and let the kids run around the little water area..very nice cheap afternoon...use coupons...
