Has Anyone Been to CRT for Lunch - Post 2/1

I must admit I wasn't totally convinced when the CM told me that the princesses would not be circulating because of their big dresses :rotfl2: I did comment on how strange that would be since they have always managed before but she didn't comment any further.

Please somebody please post a review of the new CRT lunch!!!!

We have reservations for Mar 5 and I am dying to know what the deal is with it now. There are so many conflicting reports about what is included and what isn't and I really want to how someone's experience went!!!:headache:

Lol. I work there and it is not 'new' other than the fact that the princesses perform a short 'magical moment' for the diners. Each child is given a wand/sword at Breakfast and lunch ONLY. Sometime during each seating an announcement will come on telling everyone to get their cameras ready for pics. The princesses each have a section of the restaurant that is their 'kingdom' and the announcer will tell that kingdom to wave their wands/swords in the air. Each section does this and then practices saying Bibbity bobbity boo really LOUD. Then the youngest prince/princess will wave their wand over a plastic light up 'wishing star' and close their eyes to make a wish. Then lights flash in the dinning room and a magical noise is heard. Then that's it. Then it goes back to the princesses greeting tables where they left off.
Nothing else is new or different. Oh...it's more expensive now. That's about it. Cindy is still downstairs for pix. Princesses still roam about the dinning room. Nothing else changed.

Okay...so the menu is the same?
It seemed to be when I called, but with all my allergies I have to be certain.

Also, the pictures from the lobby are included in the price, correct?

Why is the lunch menu so drab? Can anyone suggest what I should order?

I had the pork tenderloin in October and it was quite good. DD had the Minor Domo. I had some of that and it was good as well.

Hi!
We ate lunch on Tuesday. I believe the menu was the same as I what I saw on
Deb's site. The appetizers were fried wontons, cheese, crab cake/balls and a small chicken salad. The entrees were the majo domo, the salmon with lemon risotto, a pasta dish, or pork tenderloin. Dessert was still the blueberry buckle. The childs menu was pretty disapointing. We got the pretzel dogs and they were kind of gross. My almost 2 year old son got free penee with butter sauce. No other options were available to him, but hey, it was free. My dh is a very picky eater and he was really impressed with the major domo. I ordered the salmon and was also very impressed. I told my husband that the point of the lunch was the experience, not the food, and that I had heard from these boards that the food isn't the greatest. Maybe it was because of my low expectations that I was so impressed, but we really did think it was very good.
We met with Cinderella in the lobby. The Fairy Godmother, Snow White, Wendy, Belle, Beauty all came to the table. As I posted on another thread, the wand was kind of lame - a little pink plastic thing with some feathers. The sword was kind of cool, it was a silver sword in a gold case. I nicely asked our server if there was anyway my son could have a sword and she was very happy to give us one. She even told me that most of the girls want a sword too. My daughter has only played with the sword since we came back. I was happy with the photo package too, the pictures very nice.
As I also previously posted, they are still fully booking this event. All five parties in line ahead of me did not have ADRs and they were all denied, being told that all was available were a few slots at dinner. Any other questions I can answer?

I really think they should be giving the swords and wands at dinner too. It's just another thing that makes it so confusing! Why not do it all the same? After all, the dinner is the most expensive!! :wizard:

Hi! I wanted to ask Cheryl-Feb06 how they go about taking the photo with Cinderella. When we go we'll have a party of 6. Do they allow you to get 2 different poses with package, or just one pose? My parents and sister are traveling with us. I hope they will give 2 packages because 1 photo package is not enough for six people. One other question for you, was Belle in her gown or village dress? Thanks so much! :sunny:

I so agree. I'm paying $25 per child for chicken nuggets (DH insist we still eat at the Castle - its a tradition). For that price they could throw in the wands and swords at dinner.

How old is your son? My son is 11, but is as tall as a 13 year old and would love a sword. I am afraid he will get passed over.

:Pinkbounc Did you see anyone having a chocalate slipper for dessert?? I am planning on pre-ordering one. According to wdw dining, you can still pre-order. How was the character interaction? Oh, I can't wait for my crt lunch in april!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :teeth:

How long did you get with Cinderella??? Did you get to see her after pictures or not??? What in the heck is DOMO?? Was the character interaction great???

For the poster above asking about the photo package...I know with parties over a certain # you get 2 photo packages but I cannot remember exactly what it is. but know that since we have 11 ppl we get 2 photo packages.

We have 12 people and were told we would get three photo packages.
