..........with the kids still on their parents passport?

We delayed getting the kids their own passports for our May trip when the date was postponed until 26th Oct 2004.

As there is still alot of differing opinion regarding passports, I just wondered if anyone had been recently and encountered any problems??

Any advice appreciated, cheers.

hi when booking our holiday to florida this july we were told all children had to have own passports to travel out side EU. a good tip if you need to get passports in hurry use the postoffice service for a fee (about£5 i think) they check all paperwork is correct and send off application for you give you a ref number and estimated time of issue .our sons passports were with us within a week this maybe a bit longer at peak times
hope this helps

As far as im aware you can still travel with children on passports as long as they arent over 16.

but personally with all the new passports coming into force and the visa waiver programme going, I would get passports now, to save ALOT of hassle when the new rules come in.

I think to travel to the states, each member of the party has to have their own passports, and yes, as signtalker says, ge the passports before the October change when you will find yourself not only having to put your hand in your pocket for a passport, but also for a visa

I am sorry :( but ALL children need their own passports to travel so you'll have to bite the bullet and pay!!!::MickeyMo

Yep, hurry and get the children a passport before the Oct deadline.
I have both my children on my passport and had the same question , I enquired and was told I could travel to U.S.A. with them on my passport but where i have the visa waiver I would have to pay for a visa for the children which works out about 70.00 for the one trip so 25.00 per child for a 5 year passport ,no hassle sound's a lot better to me.
