My family was in MK the first week of December attending the MVMCP and when the parade was over everyone started to leave when a lady ran into my 12 year old granddaughter with a stroller with her own child in it. My daughter looked at the lady and then kept walking. Again she ran into my granddaughter's foot. My daughter turned and told the lady to quit hitting her daughter. In response the lady said she would hit her again because she had jumped in front of her. My daughter told the lady she had better not hit her daughter again and when the lady started to do it the third time my son in law put his foot into the stroller to keep it from hitting his daughter.

I have never seen anyone so rude and especially to a child. Come on, there are so many people in Disney that we all have walked in front of someone or accidentaly bumped someone but you say I'm sorry and all is forgiven. The same thing happened to my daughter's son in May. They were in line and a lady with a stroller kept running into the back of my grandson and my daughter asked the lady to stop it and she replied she was trying to get up front. My daughter asked what was they suppose to do when there was no one moving in any direction. She finally said she was sorry.

My point is why do people with strollers think they have the right or the power to run over people must less other children. I had a hurt heel and I was constantly looking over my shoulder hoping that no one would hit me with a stroller or scotter.

Another point I would like to add is the safety factor in Disney. You have to have your bag checked but how many people are carrying knives or guns on them? Something we all should think about!

All this on your tenth post? Wow. What took you so long? :stir:

Not every person with a stroller behaves this way. Only a very few, and they would be bumping into you if they had a stroller or not. The stroller is not what is making the person behave badly. The person is doing that all on their own. I would venture to guess that 98% of people with strollers do NOT think they have the right or the power to run over people.

I guess that you'd have to look back at the history of Disney since it opened in 1971. How many reports have you seen or heard -- in the news, online, personal accounts, etc -- of people carrying knives or guns on them in the parks? How many knife or gun incidents have you seen reported at Disney? I can remember less than ten. Since 1971. I somehow don't think that this is something that needs to occupy too much of anyone's consciousness as they plan their Disney vacation.

Do not even bother, I think we all know where it is going. I got one of :surfweb:, want some;)

This post really gets my gander up. I was just at Disney the week of Thanksgiving and the following week. No I did not attend MVMCP so I was not the one who ran into you and it sounds like that lady was excessive.

I had to constantly stop to avoid running into people and sometimes I couldn't stop in time. People kept cutting directly in front of the stroller and I was darn lucky there wasn't a severe collision. I'm sure I bumped a few heels, but people came out of nowhere and stepped right in front of me and I had no time to react.

On another note, I had to stop at one attraction because my husband stopped right in front of me because my 4 year old stopped suddenly. A lady bumped into me which was not a big deal except that instead of "excuse me" she loudly and rudely stated "is there a reason why we are stopping". I was upset. About that. The PP is right it is not the stroller or it is the person.

:rotfl2:I run into my DH all the time with our stroller. :lmao: I think it is funny. I pretend it is someone else's fault. He turns around to see if it is me or not.. we get a little chuckle because strangers do it to us all the time..

I would have turned around and said, "Why ... yes there is. Thank you so much for asking!" with a big smile. That always throws people off. ;)

Another good response is, "Ohmygosh, I am SO sorry. My husband just got back from Iraq and he's not used to his prosthetic leg yet. He'll have it fixed in a second." I'd like to see someone come up with a nasty response to that!

I have never accidently run into anyone with my ECV. I have run over some feet, but since the wheels (three wheeler) are fully inside the frame area, they were right on top of me.

I have run into people with intent (but not too hard) when they have tried to cut into the line in front of me. I profusely apologized telling them that I had been in line and moving forward and if I had seen them standing in front of me in the line I would not have hit them, and also that the line continued behind me which was where they belonged.

:rotfl2: Now why do those whitty responses not come to me when I need them. I didn't let it ruin my day or anything, I just found it super rude.

You're right, not everyone with a stroller acts that way. That mother put her own child in harms way to by attacking others with the stroller. I still can't believe that someone would say they did it on purpose.

My daughter has the 2 children ages 14 and 12 and they have been to Disney every year since they were born. My daughter said that all the years they pushed strollers in Disney they had never hit anyone, and would never run into someone on purpose. Everyone is in a crowd must respect others around them either walking or riding or pushing strollers.

I only ever run over my family. Maybe that's why they get so testy with me. ;)

I have spent 28 days in WDW over the past two years and I have not hit anyone with a stroller. There were a few close calls as someone tried cutting in front of the stroller.

Oh, and I walk at a good pace too!

This is the first year I have really, really noticed how bad it is! Last week, people were using strollers as speeding plows, I kid you not. In fact, I did not notice anyone in a scooter doing the same. Whether it was the father or mother doing the pushing, they were running at a high rate of speed and just plowing ahead, it was awful!

:earsboy:

Very true..
There's just as many people without strollers trying to cut you off or get you out of their way as people with strollers.
Rude people percentage is equal on both sides.

Now get out of my way. Violet wants to ride Dumbo.

I have never heard of someone doing that on purpose and can't believe it.

I had a woman deliberately ramming me and a CM with a stroller, so I can believe it.

I had put my ticket through the machine to enter MK and the CM opened the gate for me to go through. This woman came running up (there was no line) and started ramming me with her stroller (I guess to get me to go through the gate faster :confused3). Both the CM and I told her to stop. I made it through the gate and the CM was trying to close it so she couldn't get through. She kept ramming the stroller into the gate and then used her hand and was pushing back and forth with the CM until he finally got the gate closed on her. There was a small child in the stroller and I have no idea what the woman was thinking.

We just had something like this happen last week at the parade taping. A CM was trying to explain to a woman that they could not bring the stroller into the taping area. So the woman starts ramming people with her stroller and then cut left and hit both my DD and I in an attempt to get around the CM telling her to stop.
