We will be at WDW form 12/5 - 12/10.
HOPING to be there to see the filming of the parade.
I think they do it first w/e in Dec...thats what the Cm told me when we booked.
He also said that SOMETIMES, the AP get to be on film.

Has anyone ever been there at this time.
WOuld LOVE to hear from you for any TIPS you can offer. :santa:

I think I read somewhere that AP holders (which I am) can get a special link on the AP SITE for preferred standing rites. LOL. No confirmation on that, though...

Last year AP's where able to sign up for either or both days. To be honest you do not need to sign up, as people where able to get a viewing spot just by comming in at normal entry time.
Most of the people who are there are family members of the kids performing, and once they had seen them they would leave.
If you are going to do it take a blanket to sit on as we got very cold last year just waiting, and as they are taping remember that you will see the same thing over and over again!!!!!!

oh, I thought they filmed only for one day....Guess they film SATURDAY and SUNDAY.
TYVM.

Actually they usually film Friday and Saturday, with Sunday being the backup day if they need it. They do film segments over and over to get the shots they want - i.e., you won't see the whole parade from beginning to end in one shot. Also some of the performance segments you usually see on TV aren't necessarily filmed at WDW (some are filmed at DL)

They changed how they let folks in to be in the "audience" last year, so not sure how they'll handle it this year.

If you run a search on the Theme Parks board, there are have been a bunch of threads there lately with personal accounts of folks who've been there.

Oh, and Main St and the hub will be jammed shoulder-to-shoulder with people. :scared1:

Thanks for the tips.
When they filmed, "JERSEY GIRL" I was there all day LONG for a 3 minute scene.
It was worth it though, I got to see Ben Aflect, up real CLOSE. =)

Last year you got special "tickets" that entitled you to be part of the audience. I think I remember seeing wristbands or something on the audience participants. I think as PP's have mentioned you went to the Disney website and were allowed to order them. There was a special entrance for ticket holders when we were at MK on the Saturday of taping & if you weren't a legitimate participant the CM's were very quick to move you along and out of the way of the taping. This was particularly in the area of Main St where Regis and Kelly were doing their portion of the taping. Later in the afternoon when Miley Cyrus was doing her taping it was totally different as to who was allowed there.

For us, we scooted down Main St., hooked a left into Adventureland and had practically nothing but walk ons to all the major rides until about 11am when the Main St. taping was completed. After that everyone flooded to the back and you needed FP's for the major rides.

Also keep in mind that parade taping week-end is usually the start of Pop Warner week too. At least it has been the last couple of years.............:goodvibes

Were the * special tix* for AP'es or just plain ole Disney fans? I thought I heard it was APs..

I think it was both. I remember someone posted a link on here that anyone could access for the tickets. I just didn't know until the last minute our group was going & it was too late by then to get them as they were gone.

Good luck!
:)
