Has anybody been to Cape Verde?

We are thinking of taking a mini break to Cape Verde for a week, has anybody ever been?

If so are there any shops, is there a main town/marina where you can browse around at night?

Cape Verde Islands - there are several Islands so it would depend on which one your looking at.

I havent been but my friends went last year - i think they went to Boa Vista but im not sure. They said the hotel resort was stunning but there is not a lot to do outside of the hotel complex. That may have just been their hotel though.

Been there 3 times for work, wouldn't go on holiday. Not a lot to do , if you are happy to sit in the hotel are for 7 days then fine.
