Has any tried the new digital wireless systems for laptops?

I have been playing around with Earthlink Enhanced wireless for my laptop. VERY cool setup. You slide a card into your laptop and you can connect to the internet from most major metropolitan areas. I have had really good luck all over the boston area and I was in Manchester N.H. this weekend and had a great connection. The speed is about the same as a dial up modem!!!
