has any one tried...

We have eaten there twice for breakfast and keep it on our usual list of ADRs to make. It does not have a large selection on the menu but I love their french toast. The restaurant has a lovely charm and a quiet peaceful atmosphere. The wait staff have always been great and I am looking forward to returning in Feb.

We ate there for dinner in July after getting caught up in a rain storm and rearranging our plans. This was the only place we could get and we were pleasantly surprised. It probably was our most relaxing dinner we had and the service was great.

I ate there with my MIL last year and both the service and food were excellent.

Thanks for the reviews. I have considered it before and now it is on the list for next year. The convenience of the location is an added bonus.

We are going in too weeks!!!.. Has anyone tried the Grand Floridian cafe?... I know its a little less known, but some websites rave about it - so i was just wondering if anyone has had good/ bad experiences there..

We went in 2009. The food was wonderful! The service was so bad, I'd never consider going back. Our server was absolutely rude, and she really brought down our meal. We were a party of 8 -- laid back and easy going. She refused to speak to anyone but me. My mom, aunt, DH, and the kids were not allowed to order without my permission. I found it extremely odd. :confused3 (Seriously, is this normal?) When my mom asked for ketchup... I'm sorry, when I had to ask for ketchup for my mom, it took forever to get it. She was more focused on her husband sitting at a nearby table.

Granted, I'm sure our experience is a super rare event, and odds are, this server didn't last very long if she was truly that rude. But it was a bad enough experience to warrant our family to not returning.

On a positive note, I have heard amazing reviews from friends in the past year about it. :thumbsup2 Therefore, I would recommend giving it a shot. :goodvibes

thanks everyone for replying... i'm glad we are keeping our reservations there- sometimes you just dont know and its not a well talked about place.... so i'm glad to know how good the place is... what did everyone eat there? i'v heard great things about the GF burger there w/ asparagus - odd combo for a burger but i've heard its awesome!

I love the GF Burger. When me and DBF went I got a salad and he got the GF burger. He let me try some of his burger and I had food envy for the rest of the meal. He still talks about how amazing that burger was when we eat at other burger places. There's also lobster and hollandaise sauce in the burger along witht he asparagus :goodvibes

i've eaten there once for lunch and once for dinner. service both times was on the slow side for the number of people seated (i grew up in my dads restaurants and he'd have had heads rolling at their speed) anyway, i really liked our lunch. had a crab cake app, a turkey sandwich w/boursin cheese, and a dessert that had several different small tasting sized portions on it...key lime, a cheese cake and something else i forget what it was. when we had dinner there i had a steak that was surprisingly good but their cheese soup appetizer tasted like someone melted cheese whiz into a cup and added 1/2 lb of salt...nastiest thing i think i've ever tasted. overall, i'd eat there again as long as time wasn't pressing.
