We are going in too weeks!!!.. Has anyone tried the Grand Floridian cafe?... I know its a little less known, but some websites rave about it - so i was just wondering if anyone has had good/ bad experiences there..

We have been a few times, for breakfast, lunch and dinner (not on the same day ;) :lmao:) and have always loved it. It is a hidden gem. Easy to get into and very nice food!
Check out my dining reviews (past ones - haven't gotten to GFC) in my most recent one!

This is one of our favorites, good food, sevice and atmosphere. We have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner there and always got a good meal. Breakfast there is a must every trip.

Another "out of the way place" for us is the Captain's Grille in the Yacht Club.

We have ate at the Grand Floridian Cafe and found it to be very good. They put a rose on each table and it is very pretty inside the restaurant and the whole resort really. The bread and butter are very yummy. I had the Grand Floridian burger and thought is was delicious. It has steak on the kids meal which made my children very happy. Its a nice get a way from the park and yet easy to return to MK with the monorail.

We had dinner there last year and loved it. My DD14 is still raving about the ribeye:) It was honestly one of our favorite meals and seeing the GF decorated for Christmas was a nice bonus:cloud9:

We had breakfast there last May and it was wonderful!! A slower service, but very nice!

The Eggs Benedict is wonderful for breakfast.

We had a very enjoyable dinner there. The sauce on the steak was amazing!! I wish I had asked for the recipe.

I agree; I've had lunch and dinner and at both meals, the service was very slow (think two plus hours for a three course meal). While the food was okay, it's not high on my list of places to go back to.

We had breakfast there while DD was on the pirate cruise. It was very relaxing, and I had a fabulous Bloody Mary. Enjoy!

I've eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner there on many trips. To be honest I have never had a bad meal there. Sometimes the service can be a little slow but the food quality makes up for it. I've usually been able to get in there without ADRs which is a bonus.

We love breakfast there - go 3x each trip (and not because it's where we stay). Love the maple-vanilla french toast. We had dinner for first time in May and I must say we weren't that impressed - but it could have been an off night or we ordered the wrong thing (that burger sounds yummy)! I'm sure you'll like it.

The Grand Floridian Cafe is one of my favorites! We have been for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and we have been impressed with the quality of the food and the beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend!:thumbsup2

We think GFC is pretty terrific. It's a notch or two above the standard WDW fare, and it's a lovely place:earsboy:

We have also eaten there 2 times, and both times, it was great! One of the better restaurants in WDW!

We've had both lunch and dinner there and the food is really good. The only negative thing I have to says about it is that the service has been slow, but if you're not in a hurry, it's a great place to go.

We were there 3 weeks ago and all of agreed it was one of the best dinners all week. We have also been for breakfast several times. The french onion soup is the best anywhere.

I must have been there on an off day, because I had breakfast here in May at it was awful. I had the soggiest, most undercooked french toast I've ever had and was queasy from it the rest of the day. I personally won't be going back for breakfast, but would definitely try a lunch or dinner here.

Ate their a few years ago, we picked there out of convinence, we were staying at GF and wanted somewhere casual to eat there that night. It was good food, but nothing we have rushed back for. Its a simple menu and the food is simple. It is not bad at all, but nothing special.

It seems like a lot of people think it's excellent though. You'll have a good meal, but I dont think you'll rush back there because compared to other WDW restuarants it's normal food.
