Has Any One Heard About Toy Story Mania AP Previews?

DARN it!! I won, (and you know, I never win anything!!!!) but my time is June 11 from 4-6 p.m. Shoot, I forgot that when I signed up for that time, DD11 was going to be having her 5th grade dance (it's the last day of school). That runs until 4- we could be there by 5- but like a PP stated, it says you have to check in at 3:30. Fooey. There's no way she's missing her end of elementary school social. :( We're staying at DL on the 12th and 13th, too. Grrrr.

Hoping for some soft openings on the 12th or 13th, then!

...deluxe passes....actually I wish they were transferable I would give you mine...we just don't think we're going to be able to make it...dh has thrown out his back :(

While I am genuinely happy for everyone who won, it really makes me sad to hear this. I put down availability for every opening, and didn't get chosen for one! I wish they were transferrable, too.

Has anyone been to these before - like with Nemo? If I were to go by after work, do you think there would be a chance they'd take pity on me and let me on, even though I didn't win? I guess it couldn't hurt to try......:rolleyes1

Where did you guys register for this lottery?

You had to register on Disneyland's AP link on their website. I don't know how long they left the registration open. I just know that as soon as you hear or read about any event requiring you to register, you have to enter as soon as you can. They either close the site fast or all spots are taken.

The wording on the winning e-mail is a little goofy. When you check in during your 'window' it will be @ 30 min before you can ride. They don't expect everyone to be able to check in at 3:30. When you get there at 5ish, just go check in. No worries!

Hello... I've been a lurker and now I thought I'd join in. I won the sneak peak too for the 12th. I didn't think I would because I won the AP sneak peek to the Dream Suite early this year. Anways, I thought the email was kind of goofy as well. Because it says you must check in 30 minutes before your time slot but how can I check in @ 9:30 when the park doesn't open until 10. I'll just show up @ 10 and see what happens. My slot is from 10 - 3 so I'm not too worried about it. I didn't win the Nemo preview so I'm excited about this one.

More about the wording - our time slot is 4:00 - 9:00pm on 6/9, we don't get off work until 5:30, so we won't get there until 6:00/6:30. I'm sure we'll be fine because they wouldn't give us such a big window if we had to be there at 3:30. I'm not stressing about it - since we get to go on the 1st day, I'll come back and post our experience for everyone else going on the 10th - 12th. :)

Here's a new question for you all. How strict do you think they will be with the part about everyone in your party needing to show their APs? I mean, if there are 5 in your party, and 4 adults have APs and 1 child only has a hopper, will they not allow the child to ride?

I was thinking about that. I don't remember, when you were entering the drawing, did it ask "how many people will be in your party?" or "how many people in your party have APs?". I think it was how many have APs, but I don't remember..

When DL gave away the Dream Suite Preview I only put down 4 guests. But, then my husband decided to take the day off and go. I told them the lady I accidentally left out someone and it didn't matter. They let our whole party tour the suite.

Thanks for the welcome Califgirl....

Thank you for offering to give us a post about your experience at the preview. I would be interested in knowing how they will run things. I'm coming in at an awkward time with the traffic and all. I could use all the info I can get :).

I wonder why my preview time is so short.....:headache: I'd relax a lot more if it was longer... but with just 2 hours to get there (and in rush hour traffic) I'm more than a little worried about it. I would be SO ticked off if we got down there only to be a few minutes late and be turned away.

The email states:
The West Information Booth is located between the Picnic Area and La Brea Bakery Cafe, on the Downtown Disney® District side of the Disneyland® Main Entry Plaza.

This is outside the park, almost to the esplanade area. HTH.

We had already planned our vacation & was hoping to get in & we did, 6/12 10-3. Please tell us how it went ASAP. We are staying at the beach on 6/11 & would like to play a little & not fight commuter traffic to be there @ 9:30 am. We will if we have to but I am not a morning person & the commute from Oxnard to Anaheim will be a nightmare! PryncessChrysty & anyone else who goes earlier-PLEASE POST details as soon as you can from your experience. :worship:
I can't wait!!!

It looks like I won't be able to make it either. I have camp counselor training all day so I would have to leave at 2:00 to be there at 3:30p (traffic). I was planning on leaving right after work (at 5) so I could be there at 6pm.

The only reason I'm upset is because I actually won something and now I can't even claim it! Oh well, I'll be there in October (No way am I going during summer:faint:!). I wish it was transferable.

We were just there 5/30-6/4 and I while we were there, I found out that I won a spot too! So, I will drive down again Monday night for my Tuesday slot. Another day off work? No sweat:)

We won for 6/12 10-3 pm. Can someone that's going before then let me know if I have to be there before 10? We don't usually roll out there until aroung 2 or so. Also, I put down/won for a party of 6, but only have 3 in my party (thought my friends could go, didn't realize their passes have expired), so I have 3 extra for that day. We don't plan to go until the afternoon unless we really have to go early, so PM me if you want the extra 3 and our schedule works for you. I think we all have to sign in together...
