We used the V Room when we went out to Florida in 2010 as it came as part of our wedding package and found it really useful.
It's nice to know you've got an area where you can go and sit and chill out for a bit before a flight.
The children in there seemed to be enjoying it as there was plenty to do and the buffet breakfast catered for everyone.
Hope that helps :)

We have used the V-Room once before but got it free as part of our package. I am not sure we would pay for it in the future, it would really depend on circumstances and who we were travelling with. My DS (who was 8 at the time) loved it in there though and it was nice to be able to relax and let him work off some steam on the football tables ;)

Whether or not it's worth the cost is down to personal preference. Because we stay at the Hilton overnight, our stay includes a free buffet breakfast so the food (although it all looked delicious) is not something we would take advantage of. Personally, I wouldn't pay £57 just so my child had something to entertain him for a couple of hours but, if I were taking advantage of the food and drink too, then it might be worth it.

We used it a couple of times, once we paid and once we got it free (well as free as paying for a package hol comes with VA)!

Both times we really enjoyed it and it was quite empty (oct and Nov). We liked the fact that it had an adult only section and like PP we had stayed at the Hilton so had aleady had breakfast, but it was great to get free drinks, read the papers, use the free internet and have a great view of the runway.
DH managed to eat a tad more and they also bought around free bottles of water to take on the flight...all in all for the right price I'd go for it.:)

We used it for the 1st time last September and loved it. The food is totally delicious and it's nice not having to search around for chairs in the general departure lounge.

As PP said there is a fantastic view of the runway and it's certainly a very relaxing way to spend that 2 hours before boarding the plane.
