Not sure what you mean? Are you asking if an official Disney representative evers stops by to answer things? I've never known it to happen and I don't expect that it would - talk about a nightmare of follow up questions and posts and for such a small representation of Disney guests in general. One thing people forget is that the entire DIS itself - every board makes up a minute portion of Disney guests and consumers.

I have been in 2 different DVC focus groups and in both groups the subject of the DIS boards was brought up by people in the group. (once by myself, the other time by another person in the group). Both times the leader of the session said that yes Disney is aware of internet sites and of the DIS but they do not monitor them, nor do they use any information from the sites for making decisions/changes to DVC or anything related to DVC. They stated that Disney gains this type of information from their own studies that they conduct themselves or pay to have a 3 rd party conduct for them.
I have read where others post they feel/know that Disney does read/monitor this board and they do gain info from the internet sites that they use, etc. I do not know which is true, I am merely repeating what was told to 2 different DVC focus groups that I was a part of within the past year.

I wouldn't expect DVC to make any comment anyplace except in "official" releases made to all members either thru mailed information or posted on the Member's Only web site.

Any information, regardless how reliable, made verbally by a CM can always be denied if challenged. Once it's been committed to print from a Disney source, it becomes an "official" statement. CM's are certainly able to state their personal opinion about things, but public statements from Disney must be reviewed by the legal department before being released.

The DIS is flattered by the attention devoted to this site by Disney CM's. This forum and the Cruise Forum are two, among others, that are monitored regularly- even if no comment is made by Disney itself. There are many CM's who do share their expertise and knowledge on these boards- in an unofficial fashion. Many have done so right here on many occasions.
