I'm flying out of Hartford on a 6am flight, I'm going to stay at the hotel inside the airport , my question is what time I should arrive to go through security ... Never took a early flight .. I'm excited to get to disney and still have a full day

Their website says 60 to 90 minutes. I went through there 2 weeks ago, it took about 15 or 20 minutes to get through security around 10:00am. What is the date? If it's a Monday or around the holidays, lines maybe longer.

It will be march 4th a Tuesday ... We always fly out of there and the lines are always short but that was always mid day so didn't know if it would be busier in the am

Lines aren't usually too bad there, we fly out that early quite a bit,the flight is always full....so be there one hour before in contrast,we give Orlando a solid 2 hours sometimes more...

I fly out of Hartford quite often and I always get there 1 hour before boarding time, but I also have no kids and print boarding passes at home.

BDL is pretty quick for early flights. I take the 6:55 am Air Canada flight to Toronto every few months and find that if I arrive about 5:45 am I'm through security and at the gate within 15 minutes. You'll be even earlier with a 6 am flight so the crowd should be even lighter. Most airlines board 20-30 minutes before departure, so it's good to be at the gate 45 minutes before departure. BDL has plenty of choices for food and coffee just after you clear security and in each terminal wing (B side has Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks), so it shouldn't take long to grab something on the way to the gate.

We had a super early flight one year and had to wait for the donuts to make their way through security/xray first! That was a hoot!

We had an 8:30 flight & pretty much walked right thru security. It took us longer to put all the crap (electronics) back into our back packs then it did to wait in the line.

It was a Saturday in August.

I will say, the next time I fly down to Orlando, I will do what I did this time. We flew Jet Blue & I paid for the extra leg room seats in the front of the plane. The added bonus was that we got to skip that really long line at MCO at around 5-6pm.
