It was my first tattoo and Hubby's second and the guys were great! Really nice shop, and friendly atmosphere. Our tattoo's came out better than we had hoped and we will def be giving them our return business. :upsidedow

Bet that tat set ya back a few bucks :scared:

Yeah it's not the cheapest place to get inked (mine was $200 and Rich's was $700). But I honestly think a tattoo is not something you want to bargain shop for. Great artist and extra sanitary shop/needles etc are way more important, even if we have to save a little longer to have them done :goodvibes

Nice tattoos, nemmie! :thumbsup2

I asked a while back about H&H and no-one had first hand experience, so thanks for the info! :worship:

I'm pretty sure my DH will at least spend a while in the shop "browsing" but will quite possibly leave with a new tattoo. :rolleyes1

That is expensive - especially with the current £/$ exchange rate. :scared:

I totally agree. :) We've seen some grubby looking shops in our time that I wouldn't even consider getting a tattoo in, but luckily DH has found a very reputable tattooist near our home town. :hippie:

It wasn't too bad, luckily we had bought our dollars back when it was nearly $2 to the £1 so it came out to roughly £350 for his. To be honest in a reputable shop here that tat would be at least £300 so it really was about what we were expecting to pay BUT he got it done in one of the coolest places! ;)
Even though it's an expensive thing to do Rich is already planning on getting another one done by Emiliano when we go back in May. Just a head's up for everyone Emiliano is going back to the Las Vegas shop in June where he will be part of the new series of Inked. So if you want him to do your tat before he gets super famous now would be a good time. :goodvibes

They both look awesome!

I got my first tattoo back in August locally. I spent months interviewing tatooist, touring the shops, and talking to people who had work done by the various tattoo artist.

I got a solid white flower called the Dina on my upper left thigh. It is ment to look a bit like scarification. I love it and want to get another tattoo soon... most likely a butterfly on my shoulder blade.

That's good to know - thanks! :thumbsup2 We'll be there in April, so maybe we'll get "inked" by Emiliano, too. :goodvibes

Where is the shop located?
It's located at CityWalk...up the side street from Elements and NASCAR. When you see the Elements store, make a right and go up the stairs...it's on the right hand side.

The shop seems to be much better signposted now from both directions with a rather dashing picture of Mr Hart ;)
I wonder if the shop will pic up a little more trade now that burger king has opened at the top as it's kind of a thru walk for that.

Can I ask how much you tipped them?
I'm going over in May hoping to get a tattoo but it all depends on price, I have no problem paying like £500 for a 7x5inch tatt because I know it'll be quality but I certainly didn't buy my dollars at £1 $2 *gutted* :( hopefully I'll have the money, just need to budget for a tip too ahh! :)

I actually didn't tip my artist. I totally didn't even think of it at all until my husband had told me he tipped his $20 (which he was most grateful for). I think it's all personal preference as with all tipping. It's not obligatory by all means. Tattoo's can be expensive to say the least. If you decide not to just make sure you show your full appreciation. The best tip I can give my artist now is to recommend him highly and hopefully get him more work.

Thanks for the reply :)
Thats fab, I'm sure I read somewhere that some tattoo studios ask for a minimum tip (which I wasn't sure they were supposed to do)
I'll just see how much I have left to give him/her on the day :thumbsup2 At least I know I won't be expected to give $100 tip or something lol

Ahhh yep no minimum tips here. As I say Emiliano was over the moon with $20 so whatever you have left over will be more than fine. Personally having spent over $900 plus cream and merchandise we were almost spent out LOL.
