Hmmm, interesting . . . I might have to find those.

It's mostly things like "jumper" being changed to "sweater", or "Minister for Magic" being changed to "Minister of Magic". I seem to recall her putting her foot down on the changes in the later books so that the publishing companies wouldn't change quite as much as they did in the earlier books. (Though it's been a while since I've been immersed in Potter fandom..)

Also, there's the noise from the highway, sirens going by, etc.

Universal Studios and IoA aren't close to a highway. The area in IoA near where the Harry Potter land will be built is near Turkey Lake road which is in residential area. Right now, they have some huge backdrops that shield the street. The backdrops are painted to look like pine trees and, unless you are up close, you can't tell that they are fake. I am sure they will have something put up to block any views.

Even at Disneyland which is in a busy area of Anahiem, I've never heard sirens. I've heard sirens once when I was in Citywalk walking to the parking lot but not in the parks.

Heck, I heard sirens when I was walking around World Showcase at Epcot a few weeks ago...if the wind is blowing just right, it can still happen.
