I am a certified thrill ride chicken, so am chiming in.
I cannot ride Forbidden Journey at all. Did it once and that's it. The ride arm that your bench sits on goes every which way and it is Not pleasant. I got nauseated and very dizzy from that one. I also felt like we were going to tip over on our backs, and that is not a good sensation. I really stress that this ride might not be one for kids (or for most adults for that matter) Nothing about it is smooth or fun, to me.
However, GRingotts is fabulous, even for a chicken like me. There's not enough of a "drop" to complain about. It's a lot of fun and I never get sick or dizzy riding it. The ride que is amazing and not to be missed.
Hagrids was very fast, surprisingly so, for me. I guess I was expecting something more sedate. It explodes with fast energy like a roller coaster. I would probably ride it again now that I know what to expect. For kids? I wouldn't have them do it unless they are fearless and like coasters that excelerate quickly.
I also thought the Mummy was a little jerky and more coaster like than I remember it being. However, it was fun.
Hope all works out well for you.
