Harry Potter ride question

I know that the FJ is brand new and that it is HP theme, but besides that how novel is the ride. Is it very similar to Spiderman but only with a different theme or is the technology more impressive. I heard that it was ground breaking. Either way, I'm still excited to ride it I'm just a bit curious.

Oh can someone please describe what it is like without giving away to much and estimate the ride length?
