Harry Potter remote control wand

The new spell wands???? As of now I think at Ollivanders in Diagon alley
Both DA and HM. There is interactive places in both sides. We counted 6 spots in HM for interaction.

I took this 4 days ago.

Thanks..I knew HM was going to have it, wasnt sure it was installed over there yet

I just put a photo in it. While we sat in Hogshead having BB DS and I went out to see and count them.

DS will be getting one in 2 weeks so we will see. I just hope for onsite EE or an AP preview.

Is there any way to get one prior to arrival? Obviously it won't be useful outside the parks, but if for example one wanted to be able to wrap a wand as a present... (purely hypothetical, of course, and not at all part of a plan for my DP's birthday in September...):rolleyes1

I might as well ask this here. Do the shops offer to deliver your purchases to your hotel like WDW does? I am staying at Portifino. I hear that so many rides are so restrictive that I don't want to have anything on me (except a wand of course) and I want to do everything possible to avoid the lockers. They do that out here at Hollywood for Mummy and it's literally a nightmare.

universal aka darkside has always had that feature.

for onsite hotel guests, anything you purchase will be delivered to your room.
not sent to the gift shop or front desk, but to your room.

the only time you can not use this free service is if you are checking out of the hotel the next day.
what you buy on monday, will be delivered to your hotel room on tuesday.
etc.

any guest in the darkside parks can have their merch sent to the front of the park held in one of the stores.
buy what you want at 9:30 in the morning and have it sent to the front of the park and it will be held for you.
you pick up your merch when you are leaving the park that day/evening.

you will be given a ticket stub to show the TM in order to pick up your packages.

don't do what i have done and lost that ticket stub.......
if you do, you can still get your purchases.
you have to show an id and give a description of what is in the bag to retrieve your purchases.

when the TM is ringing up your purchase in the store, tell them you either want it delivered to the front of the park and you will pick it up later, or tell them you want it delivered to your hotel room.

if you do pick up that day, you need to wait at least one hour before it will be available.
if the stores are swamped and the park full, it may be a longer time period before you can retrieve your stuff.

and, there is no in park pick up service the last hour prior to park closing.
again, that time period could be switched to the last 90 minutes the park is open if the place is packed.

i do this all the time.
for fragile items, i tell the TM that i am going to pack that item in my suitcase and could they wrap the merchandise accordingly.
they will.

the last time i was in the darkside parks and buying items was in january.
if the time frame now has different time limitations, that is always possible.
ask the clerk that is ringing you up.
they would have the present policy regarding the time frame.

Thank you so much for the wonderfully detailed answer! That is a fantastic service. Universal is getting first shot at my money before Disney this time, and I have a feeling with this convenient delivery... They'll be getting a lot of it.

one thing i forgot to add........

you need to give your mailing address to the TM if you are having your merchandise sent to the front of the park for pick up later that day.

if you are a day guest and you get sidetracked and forget to pick up your belongings, and didn't leave a phone number where you can be reached, your items will be mailed to you.

at one time there was no charge for the mailing.
do not know if that has changed in the past year.

the one thing that can not be sent to the front and held for you are those chocolate frogs in the hp store.
i was told the chocolate can melt and they want to avoid that type of situation
