We are off to US/IOA in Aug. Honestly I have no time/and really don't want to watch all the HP movies or read all the books. My girls on the other hand have seen/read them all. For me...will it be good enough to watch the 1st movie so I have an idea of what is what as we tour the castle? I did read the first 2 books when they first came out, but really don't remember them.

We ended up watching all the movies over 1 month time before we went. You could get away with the first one to get the idea, but for the full experience I would try to watch them all. Netflix will be your friend, that's what we did. Now when the last one is released on bluray my wife wants the whole set.:thumbsup2

If you watch the first movie you will get a good idea of what the castle is like as well as Olivanders (the wand shop)

The 3rd movie has the the village of Hogsmead in it so you can see what the town at Universal is modeled after.
