Stopped at the lockers and dutifully checked my backpack as my wife did hers. We then proceeded onto the ride 4 times. Unfortunately I forgot to check the banana I had in my cargo pants pocket.
Things that don’t work well with puréed banana:
1) I-phone
2) Paper money
3) Tag Heuer watch
I can’t tell you what it felt like putting my hand in my pocket to get my phone.
Wife joke of the day….”Is that a banana in your pocket or are you just glad to see me”.
Quick note on the ride that is not banana related.
1) Must stay on-sight unless waiting in line is something you enjoy. We stayed at the PBH so we were allowed entrance an hour early.
2) DO NOT wait for the boat; it was for boat loads deep at the dock by 7:00 AM. Walk over it takes 10 minutes and you can feel less guilty eating multiple Cinnabon.
3) DO go in the single rider line, YOU WILL NOT EVEN SEE THE OTHER 4 PEOPLE IN THE CAR. You sit shoulder to shoulder. I wish I would have known that before my wife and I waited for 90 minutes in the stand by line.
4) The two seats on the left will get wet and as others have said it’s like getting a super soaker in the eye.
5) Spoiler alert…….The drive was ok but nothing blew up.

lol. too funny. I think that's the first banana fatality we've had here.

Yikes! Sorry to hear about your banana tragedy!

Poor banana probably put up a good fight, but those Dementors must have had it in for him - they won!

:rotfl2:

Hopefully the iphone made it or you can use it as an excuse to get the new one....I think Universal has it out for the iphone. I lost mine on RRR and when I called to get status they told me they had about 6 or 7 in Lost and Found and none were my number of course

.

sorry about your phone! Just to clarify: was the 90 minute wait when you got in during the early hour?? Or a later ride?

And the seats on the left that will get wet--is that on the rider's left once they are seated, or the left, as you are facing the seats before you get on? thanks!

I can almost see the thread in the Dis Unplugged section now. SUBJECT: You Can't Bring Fruit on Forbidden Journey! Followed by several posters describing how much better Disney is because they've brought an apple onto the TTA and had no problems. :)

note to self, no fruit on HP!

other than the banana it sounds like you had a great time!

Oh please. They will claim there has NEVER been ANY food fatalities anywhere in or on Disney Property, neglecting to remember the fact that Disney killed off the whole cast of Kitchen Kabaret AND Food Rocks. The death of 1 banana compared to the equivalent of 2 whole fruit baskets (in addition to many other foods and drinks as well) is ok in my book. :rotfl:

The 90 minute wait was around 7:00 PM the day we arrived. The next morning we walked over (10 minutes) and were lined up like lemmings. At 7:45 they let us into the park and we sauntered over to FJ. We were able to ride it three times before the afformentioned banana tradgedy.

Forgot to answer this here part. if you are looking directly at the ride car as you will be it is the two seats on the right. Remember SINGLE RIDER LINE, you cannot see your neighbor and why would you want to you are in a submersive experience. Save the taking for when you get off the ride.
