Harry Potter expansion 2014

According to Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer the WWOHP is opening in 2014. He wasn't specific on when other then it will be after the new resort opens.

As usual Universals PR head doesn't see it that way.

Universal has been pretty tight lipped so far about the expansion. Disavowing what the mayor said seems only natural.

True but two things come to mind. Knowing he ( city in general) has access to the plans and dates I'd be surprised if Orlando didn't have inside info and its a honest mistake.
2 knowing Universals pios record of not knowing anything about the subjects he's being asked about I'm not surprised either about their reaction. I'm sure someone high up in USF already called the mayors office basically saying sssssssh. Please don't do that again.

They would like people not to know so they don't cancel their vacations until the new area opens. They would like people to come for Transformers this summer and then come again the following year. Knowing about a huge 2014 expansion could change a lot of plans.

I can understand the secret portion so that it doesnt take the light away from Transformers, and the new resort.

The only thing I dont undertand is that the pio is the same person that said that when Ripsaw Falls and RRR were down because of the fire and the issues with the connecting bar, that they woul do annual maintanace on the rides and that they did not know how long that would take. (might help if he asked maint. jas)
