Harpist ?

Has anyone used a harpist for their ceremony? Is this only an option at the WP or can you have a harpist at an outside location? Is the harp loud enough- are the songs easily recognizable or is a duet better?

DF's last name is Harp and we know his dad and brother would find it absolutely hilarious if we had a harp. The only problem is we have our heart set on Sunset Pointe and don't know how well a harp would work there. TIA

I can't help too much as far as Disney harpists are concerned, but can tell you my brother and his wife had a harpist at their outdoor wedding in Saratoga Springs, NY. They had about 80 guests and the harpist was plenty loud enough. It was really quite pretty. (She played at the ceremony and the cocktail hour) You don't want to do "too much" with the 2 harpists and have it seem overwhelming. If you're having a smaller wedding-- I think 1 harp would be lovely at Sunset Pointe.

If you're really concerned; talk to your planner- they will have a good idea on what the space needs. (And I think you can have a harp outside-- it was an option for me at SBP)

I am having a harpist and violinist at the ceremony. I am using an outside vendor she is charging me 450 while Disney wanted to charge 1375! One harpist would be loud enough.
