I haven't seen this posted on the DIS since I have been back on planning our next trip. If you are looking for a neat experience, get your child's hair cut at the Harmony Barbershop! It is located behind the Emporium in MK. They offer a great haircut for $14.00 (as of 8/07). The child can also get colored gel in their hair with Mickey confetti (pixie dust), as well as a mickey head on the back of their head. Heads up: the gel has to set. We had a small, temporary stain on on stroller, which did come out with light cleaning.

You can get just the "Pixie dust" for around $5.00. This is a good alternative to the BBB. I believe that they will also cut and style girl's hair too.

If it your child's first cut ever, they will get a certificate and a free set of Mickey ears that says "First Haircut"

The hours are 9-5 and I hear that they get long lines at times. We have never had to wait because we get there just before opening.

My DGD got her hair done there and she looked like a little Disney Princess! I honestly think that we had more fun than her but the hairdresser did a wonderful job of pulling some of her hair back and putting the Pixie Dust in it, as was befitting a young Princess dressed as Cinderella. She was ready for her luncheon with the rest of the Princesses at CRT.

We did this in 2005 for DB and the Barbershop quartet even came in out of the heat. They chatted with us for a few minutes, found out I was from Tx, and sang "Deep in the Heart of Texas" for me. It was great!

AS a sidenote, that gel is AWFUL!! DB12 actually managed to sweat it down his shirt a bit, and I made him rinse it out in the pool shower at the resort before I let him in the room. Even so, the towels were streaked blue that night!
