Harmony Barber Shop Recommendation

Anyone know how hard the walk-ins are at the barber shop? I just called and tried to make a reservation for a first haircut (we're literally doing a 5 second bang trim) and in the 8 days we're there they had ONE time slot available that wouldn't work at all (and I'm calling well over a month and a half ahead)

I'm literally really bummed as though I suppose it's silly, this was a big deal for me (and my 2 year old has the shaggy hair to prove it)

I'm rather shocked reservations are that hard to get and really wish the website emphasized to book it like at 180 days out or something like we did with dining.

I would think you could try to walk in but be prepared to wait awhile. Maybe if you do a rope drop and do it first thing it won't be bad, a lot of people are heading to rides that early.

We went on a Saturday in September and got there about 10 min after park opening and they worked us in within 15 min. By 9:45 when we were leaving they had already done 26 haircuts in the 3 chairs including 21 first haircuts. They are amazingly efficient.

We walked in at rope drop... Waited maybe 15 min, and had a great 1st haircut!

You're all making me feel much better. I don't mind waiting a bit but didn't want to totally miss out. I was shocked in 8 days they had a mere one slot available. I didn't know whether I should try calling again, or if there was a better # to call, etc.. Thanks!

The times I have been there, there were people waiting who didn't have reservations, so I know they do it. I don't know how long they waited though.

I got my hair cut there twice and wasn't impressed with the cut either time. Didn't find anything "fun" about it. The barbers were not extra friendly or talkative, just cycled people through with a fast cut. I prefer to go to places that give a shampoo and take time to make you look good. Hairs down my back while sweating at MK is not all that fun either. I guess if you really want a 1st cut at Disney it might be neat, I just don't see the attraction.

We walked in with our son, but that was like 5 years ago. It was a magical experience and I wish we had thought of it with our first son. They give you a lock of hair, a set of ears that say 1st Haircut, and the barber kept handing him stickers to put on his shirt to keep him busy while he cut his hair. So fun!

We walked in with my 2-year-old son and they told us to come back in an hour, which was totally fine. This was in the middle of the afternoon Labor Day weekend and the park was packed! I am sure you will be able to get in at some point during your stay. The lady who cut his hair was very good with him and kept his moppy curls in tact!

I know...it sounds adorable!! (and not much more pricey than first haircuts around here) I almost cried when they told me there were no reservation slots. We've been going to Disney since I was 3 so obviously Disney is HUGE for us. I thought this would be really meaningful to do a milestone there.
