Harmony Barber Shop questions

My little guy is going to be 14 months on our trip. We are planning to do his first haircut. He's still pretty bald at eight months so hopefully he has some hair by then!!!

Anyway, we thought that it would be fun for all three kids to get their haircut. The prices are extremely reasonable so why not? But while I can find a lot of info on the first haircut package, I'm not readinguch about regular haircuts. I've seen that you can do glitter and gel without a haircutf. Is that included with the haircut or an add on?


If they do glitter and gel, would we be better off doing it on our way put if the park for afternoon break (right around noon) or on our way back in for the evening (around 4). I was thinking on our way out but if their hair is all cute, maybe it's a waste to go sleep on it!

We did the first haircut package for Cody and loved it. We're going to have both kids get haircuts on this trip.

My girls got their haircut 2 years ago and are excited to get their haircut in 2 weeks at Harmony! Last time we paid $5 to get the color and glitter. They LOVED it and we got lots of compliments on their hair. Be warned that the glitter is sprayed in very good and takes days to get out and the gel smears on the pillows even after showers, but there were no complaints! Enjoy!

The barber shop doesn't offer gel anymore. You can get the glitter confetti, but no gel.

My DD got her first haircut there. I definitely recommend it. On the next trip, DD and DH both got their haircut at the same time. DD got some pixie dust and glitter in her hair then. No gel. I don't remember if they had it, but I didn't want it. I have heard that they don't offer it anymore though. My nephew got the gel a number of years ago, and it was a pain to wash out. We generally try to make our reservations around noon. That is typically when the barber shop quartet is there.

We had both our girls 1st haircuts there... Loved it! Great experience!!! I would say do it either right at park open (but then you'd miss RD attractions) or do it when you come back from rest/nap! The glitter will fall out during naptime and they do their hair so cute... You don't want them to sleep on it right away! IMHO

I'd do it after break when he is fresh and well rested instead of trying to do it before nap time.

Both my girls had their first haircuts at Harmony Barber Shop. It was a wonderful experience.
