Now that all the old recommended spots for perfect viewing of fireworks have become paid spots, where are the best spots for viewing harmonious? Or is that even an option anymore?

did they add more paid options? I thought the only options were the two dinner parties (rose and crown, spice road)

There were no paid options when I was there in Dec. other than the ones mentioned above. I found a spot right behind where they had the stage set up for the gospel group at Festival of the Holidays (can't remember their name) Had the stage not been there, it would have been perfect. I think was just to the left of the Shop by the boat docks. As it was, there were big poles for the sound system and lots of amps and shrubs so some of the side things were hard to see. I'm thinking even if you can't get a good view of the Star Gate, the fireworks are pretty good so you won't miss a whole lot.

The 2 restaurants are what I was referring to. Also, when I went last time some of the areas that used to be recommended on the DIS became roped off spots you had to pay for or book through my Disney experience. This also happened at MK.

The two restaurants do not offer the best viewing spots for Harmonious, IMHO. For the best view, I would recommend Italy, Japan or a place between the boat launches on the promenade. Italy is sometimes roped off for private events, but Japan and the promenade are currently areas available for all guests.

Thank you for the options.

I'm planning on an EEH night and would like to be able to watch some of the show and then head to ride Remy's without fighting through a lot of people. Where is a good spot to watch to be able to get to France after? Whats the overall crowd level is it anything like a MK fireworks show?

I did not love the view from Canada. You really can't see the stargate very well. That said, I do not know where you CAN see it unless you get a paid option.

There are lots better viewing spots available than Rose & Crown and Spice Road. What they're selling is the ability to sit and be out of the crowds, not necessarily a better view. The most frontal views of the stargate are on the plaza between the two stores, and areas in Japan, Italy and USA, although a lot of other spots (Germany, Mexico, Norway) have ok views. None of these are currently paid options (except possibly private events) but will likely require a lot of waiting.

We stood between two temporary structures for festival of the arts just a bit off center toward Canada in the rain to watch it. It was great. No one around us at all. We were only 2 people as it ia a tiny space. A cannon did shoot off directly in front of us at the end lol649373
