I pick up a t-shirt and shot glass for my father from Harley Davidson whenever the family travels. The HD website indicates there is a shop in Nassau. Does anyone know if it is close to the port in Nassau and in a safe area? Has anyone gone to it?

Really was not planning on getting off the ship in Nassau but think we may do some shopping in the morning...maybe get the passports stamped and be back on the Dream before lunch.

DH has to get a Harley t-shirt from everywhere we go so I can help with this! We were in Nassau on the Dream this July and found a Harley shop across the street right outside the port area (not a big store - no bikes or parts - mainly t-shirts). You get off the ship, walk through the indoor shopping area and then out the port gate. Right across the street to your left is the Harley store. Very close and we felt completely safe. Have fun!

That is awesome especially since we would rather enjoy the ship that day rather than spend it at Nassau.

So you understand the strategic planning that goes into hitting a Harley Shop (or 2 or 3) before every trip :rotfl:

Thanks!

I'm just curious why having a Harley Davidson or Hard Rock cafe shirt or some other generic company is so important to people when they travel somewhere. I'd rather have something that you can only get in a few places or something that is tied more to the place I visited then just the name of the place on a shirt I can get anywhere else in the world. For example one of my favorite shirts from the 2008 Panama Canal cruise is one from the Del Sol store in Aruba with a map of Aruba on the back.

Hey! I never thought of a shop on Nassau! I think DH and I will have to get one for my FIL ... we usually bring him back a Harley tee if we run across a shop on our travels.

Last year, they did not have any shot glasses. I do the same thing for my mom. She collects shirts from wherever she goes, I get her shotglasses.:goodvibes

And to EastYorkDisneyFan each location (at least for HD) has unique artwork. I'm not a fan of my home store's designs, but some of Alaska's stores and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia are some of my favorites. One could compare it to collecting resort specific merchandise for WDW. All the same company, yet each unique.

I don't know that it's important, but my FIL is a huge Harely fan ... he has two bikes and has been riding for decades. He enjoys getting shirts from our travels and I enjoy buying them. He would not really care for a DCL shirt or a Del Sol shirt.

Each place we visit has unique artwork for the area we are visiting and it also states the location. For example, we also plan on stopping at a Harley Davidson store that is close to Port Canaveral. The store is called Space Coast Harley Davidson and that will be on the T Shirt as well as cool artwork that has a space shuttle in it. Each shirt is very unique...which is why it is fun!

I can understand when they have something special about them, but most of the one I've seen just have the Harley Davidson Logo and a city name on it.

I visited the Harley store in Nassau in July. It's a really nice store. Sizes only go up to 3x and my friend who collects Harley shirts is a 4x so instead he got a Nassau specific patch for his jacket. It's a very cool beachy design.
