Harlequin romance novel readers..have a question!

I will admit, I know nothing about these books and I have never read them. However, I got a huge lot of them today at a yard sale that I intend to sell on Ebay.
My question is how are they published? I noticed some that seem to be 8 a month, some are 4 a month, etc. I have entire years that are sequenced by numbers. Am I making sense??
If you were buying them, what would you look for? Entire years, months, by number, by Author.
I'm just trying to figure out the best way to group them.

Personally, I look at the pictures on the front first

There are a bunch of different series, eg. Historical, American, Super, etc. They are all put into numerical order by the number on the spine.

Some are done as individual stories and others are done in a series format. Usually if they are in a series they have an identifying picture or symbol on the spine or the front cover so that you can easily tell that it is part of the series.

You should probably sort out all the series books and sell them as a set. They usually say on the first page or 2 how many books are in that particular series.

I like to read the series style and I do have some authors that I will pick out first before the others.

Will I be able to figure it out easily enough, I mean the style and such.
Also, how many books approx a year are there that would be numbered sequentiously (sp?).

I have 1,377 of them!!!!!

How about going to Ebay and doing a search and then clicking on the left side of the screen on "Completed" auctions. This will give you an idea of how many to group together and how to group them.

I did that but they were so every which way. That's why I figured I'd ask how people read them or would want them.
Or pick brains to make sense of it all! LOL

I took a quick look at this site and it looks like it might be helpful to you in sorting them all out.

Usually you can tell what series they are from by looking at the cover. Each different branch or series has a different cover design or look to it and probably says on it what category it is.

WOW that is one large amount of books to sort through.
