Hard tickets - where to pick up?

I bought our tickets at UT and added them to the app. If we would prefer hard tickets to passing my phone around, is there a spot to pick them up at Downtown Disney, or at a DL hotel even if we are not staying in one? Or can we get away with screen shotting the tickets and passing the shots to each person to keep on their own phone?

Everyone in your group will be given a paper ticket the first time you scan in at the turnstile. No need to go out of your way to the ticket booth.

They don't always automatically print paper tickets on first scan in anymore (we didn't get them in December and I've seen a few other reports of this as well). If they don't print automatically, others have reported you can just ask the CM at the turnstile to print it for you.

Here's my experience from last week (Tuesday, January 24). I arrive at the Disneyland entrance with a printout of the ticket I bought online from UT and ask the woman at the entrance if she was the one who would issue me a real ticket. She says Disneyland has gone "all digital" and no longer issues paper tickets. She says, however, that if I don't have a smartphone with the Disneyland app, I can use my printout to enter the parks on the remaining days of my 5-day ticket. I ask if the printout can be used to access Genie+ (I have a smartphone, but expressed concern with the battery dying by the end of the day). I am told the printout cannot be used for that purpose. I don't know if everything she said was correct, but that is what I was told.

FWIW, I used a combination of printout and smartphone when entering the parks in subsequent days. I did not try to use the printout for Genie+ (I used my phone). I did pay attention to what others were doing to access Genie+ and everyone was using their phone or Magicband+. I saw no one using any paper media for that.
