I recently stayed at Hard Rock, we loved Universal's and no complaints with the service, but I didnt find the Hotel to be the cleaness. On one day I went out and I saw left over food from room service outside a room.. I came back about 10 hours later and it was still laying there. And on several occasions I noticed that the storage / cleaning personal room doors left wide open with dirty towels, and other garbage laying aorund. Just surpising for such an expensive / visited Hotel. Any one have any such experiences.
 
We noticed room service carts a few times at RPR. But usually gone after a few hours. We didn't notice any bags of trash though.

I did notice housekeeping carts till late in the day on most days. Some days our room wasn't cleaned till later in the day (after 2) That really sucked since we like to return for a nap and a swim.
 
It is custom at all UOR hotels to be given a choice of either phoning guest services to tell them you have finished eating your room service meals, or simply leaving the trolley outside the door for collection later.

However, in interests of cleanliness and hygiene I would prefer that guests were not given the option of the latter. You phone for when you want your room service, and you should therefore phone when you want room service collected and taken away. Calls are free of charge, so I cannot see how this practice would be much of a problem.
