There was a few broken shingles and a lot of downed trees. The trees were secured with stakes and metal rope.
Sand bags were put against all the doors including every patio door out on to the balcony in the lobby. A lot of water still managed to get in by the conference suites. The hotel staff were using wet and dry vaccums to suck it up.
As far as I aware no one was hurt. Because of the curfew, the hotel was locked down for the day. They had two security guards on the main entrance and one down at the pool entrance. The side entrance by the Palm was left open. The eye of the storm was only 40 miles South East of Orlando when I took these photos.
