Has anyone stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel? Any info would be appreciated.

I have been told the music through the resort is loud? Any advice? We are a family of 4 with 2 young adults 17 yrs & 19 yrs -do you think this would be a good one to stay at?

We have booked a 1 pool view room with a rollaway bed. Will it be too cramped?

What is the transport to WDW from here?

We stayed at the Hard Rock in March for 3 nights. We had come from WDW and used a limo service to move us and our luggage. I believe if you want to go to WDw you will have to arrange your own transportation.

We were with our two young sons and my mother, in two standard lovely connecting rooms. We all loved this hotel, although, yes, the music can be loud on the main floors and pool area, especially on weekend days it seemed. But we felt it added to the "vacation/party" feeling in which this hotel excels.

We loved our stay -- especially the beautiful pool area and excellent proximity ot the Universal parks (5 minute walk at grandma's pace) -- and plan to return in March 05.

Thanks for the info.

We are staying in Orlando for 5 nights only in January.
Would you recommend staying part of the time at HRH & the other in a resort at WDW. What do you think?

Staying on site at Universal when going to the Universal parks is a bit different from staying onsite at WDW, for two reasons: 1. At Universal, you get front of the line privileges at almost all rides and restaurants -- just show your room key and in you go, via a special entrance. This is priceless. 2. Universal is a lot smaller than WDW so "on site" means you can walk to the two parks and to City Walk in about 5 minutes. So, in my opinion, onsite at Universal is a must.

You get neither of these privileges for being on-site at WDW -- which is just enormous -- BUT -- there is a special sense of magic and fun you get when staying at a WDW hotel. WDW hotels are really special, and the service is excellent. The WDW free transportation has always worked very well for us no matter where we've stayed. And on-site disney guests get a few perks like entering a designated park one hour early each morning, and package delivery to your hotel, and using your room card as a charge card, but the main thing for us is "magic", which is also priceless.

Whether it is worth it to switch hotels on a 5 day trip will depend on how you like to travel, but I will add that we had no car and used a towncar service to get from MCO to WDW to US to MCO and it was much easier and quicker than we imagined -- but not cheap. We will definitely do it again.

Hope this helps! good luck making your plans!
