Hard Rock Hotel Newbie

I had to move my dates and my favorite Royal Pacific is now too pricey. I booked the Hard Rock but I haven’t stayed there since 2003. I’d love to hear any tips!

I’ll be solo and a quiet room would be my first priority. Next would be easy access to the walking path. I probably won’t be using the pool.

We had a club level room at HR that was right next to the lounge......from 7am to 10pm it was like a night club dance floor in our room!!

It was over Christmas week and the resort was full. It took them 2 days to come up with a vacant room to move us.
It didn't really bother me and my son that much, but I thought my wife might strangle someone at the front desk!

Just a heads up. I haven't posted a TR yet, but I have always booked a 2Q GV room at HRH. This time around (mid Sept) I ended up in a 4th floor pool view room. It was awful, very noisy. Bass music booming all day, dive in movie loud speakers all evening. I would call them about a week before you plan to arrive and specify that you want a quiet GV room. Don't trust any preferences you put on your reservation, call them directly and make your wants known.

Emack & Bolios has great pizza, yogurt parfaits and more...we really like for a quick bit. Did I say the pizza was really good??? It really is. We like to walk around the resort and explore. We typically take that side exit door to get to the path to the parks. We haven't really used the pool area a lot, but maybe next time.

One year, we did Club Level and one night we went up the elevator and Sebastian Bach from the old band Skid Row was in the lift with us. He and my son ended up chatting in the hallway for a bit and he invited him down to the lobby for the concert that night. That was a BIG surprise. My son actually knew about him and his music. I was impressed.

Anyway, it's probably our favorite and we've stayed there 3-4 times now and soon again.
