My plan whilst on the 7 Western Cruise next Year, i have a plan in my head to visit the hard rock cafe in all the ports we dock at apart form CC.

I would love to come away with a souvenir glass at each one.

Is there a Hard rock cafe in Grand Cayman, Cozumel, and Key West.

And if so are they easy to get to on our own.

We are not planning on particapting in shore excursions, we did a few when we were on the Wonder, and never again, was disapointed in Atlanis and we did a boat trip nn CC

Grand cayman is easy, is next to where the tender boats dock you cant miss it.

Key West IS at 313 Duval St., a walk but easy to get to as well.

Looked at Hard rock site the Cozumel one is at

Hard Rock Cafe Cozumel
Rafael E. Melgar No. 2-A
Col. Centro C.P. 77600
Cozumel, Q. Roo; Mexico

I cant remember if I saw that one or not, and cannot bring up a location for it, but my guessthats not far form where the ship docks either.

Excellent.

Could you answer a quick question it is a about the stateroom, what is the trunk (storage) people are referring to in other posts.

Can not remember if we had one in cat 7 room we had 7124.

In my Cat 4 we have a big clothes storgage cabinet designed like an old cruise ship trunk, they may be refering to that, looking at the Cat 7, room plan, you do not have that, but you do have storgage, under the TV, various drawers, a closet as you walk in on one side to hang up garments, that also has the safe there, and a small cabinet opposite the bed.

Thanks i thought we did not have one, the last time.

We have 5022 for this cruise, hoping not to take that much (that will never happen) lol

Well being form the UK, on usually a three week holiday, its hard to leave stuff at home, you should be able to fit a lot in, dont worry.

You will have the steamer trunk in 5022!

We had 5522/5524 on our last cruise and I know that 5022/5024 on the opposite side of the ship are the exact same rooms - in reverse! ;) (We were able to snag these rooms for our next 2 cruises - woohoo!!!) Anyway, we definitely needed and used the storage space that the steamer trunk provides.

The Hard Rock at Cozumel can be seen from the ship.

We stopped at each of them to get a pin for our collection that was unique to that location. We plan to stop this time at the newly opened Hard Rock in Cartagena.

My DH has the same obsession. We have gone WAAAAYYY off the beaten path in order to visit the local Hard Rock where ever we are. He collects Pint glasses from there. It's actually been quite interesting seeing all of the different decor. I think the most obscure one we have visited was in Gatlinburg Tenn.
Where have you been?

My favorite is Tokyo, which I visited when I was just 17 years old and nearly got into a fight with an intoxicated Australian marine. There were about ten of us and he was flirting with one of the girls. She pretended that I was her boyfriend. It wouldn't have been much of a fight as I was just a skinny little 145 pound weakling. Fortunately, he left us alone after that, but I don't know why she picked me out to be her boyfriend for the night when there were three other males in our group who were all older and bigger than me.

However, I like having something from the ones which no longer exist such as Aspen, CO.

I couldn't remember if I saw it or not, I remember the Grand Cayman one and Key West but couldn't place the Cozumel one. Maybe because I only went on land at Cozumel in 2002, my 2006 cruise we went to Tulum by boat and coach direct form the ship

We did Tulum as well and left from the back side of the ship directly to the mainland. When we returned it was raining extremely hard and we were drenched in a cold rain from head to toe waiting to get back onto the boat. Since we had main dining, we had about 20 minutes to change and get ready for Animators Palate.

I didn't make it to Hard Rock until the next cruise. When we were sitting on Deck 10 waiting for the Pirates, we saw the Hard Rock lit up about 4 to 5blocks from the Pier.

We had sun all the time on our one, in fact soo much sun, we too left from antoher tender point on the ship direct.

There are Hard Rock Cafe's in each of the ports on the Western. I didn't snag a picture of the one in Key West, but we did walk past it. I know it's on Duval Street, and only a slight walk from the ship. Nothing too horrible.

I didn't get a picture of the location of the one on Grand Cayman, but I did get a picture of the restaurant exterior. It's literally located right as you get off the tender. Almost impossible to miss.

The one in Cozumel is a bit of a walk from the ship, but can be seen from the ship. It's hard to tell from the picture where it is, so I circled it for you :thumbsup2

I, too, like to collect things from Hard Rock Cafe's. I pretty much only collect tshirts, though. I started the collection on my cruise, but, unfortunately, didn't get anything in Key West. Oh well. Guess I'll have to go back ;)

Wow, it didn't seem like that far of a walk. Perhaps because we did it so leisurely and the kids weren't with us. The picture makes it seem more than 4 or 5 blocks from the Pier.

Does anyone know how far the Cartegena Hard Rock is from the Pier? I know Disney hasn't been their yet, but perhaps someone who's been on another cruiseline might know.

It was quite a walk. I cruised with my mom (I'm 16, was 15 at the time of the cruise), and she had to sit and rest a few times on the way. I could have made it without resting easily, but the rest was nice. It was hot and sunny that day, and very congested with people. It seemed like a long walk for us, but it probably just depends on the situation at the time (how in shape you are, how hot it is, how sunny etc.)

I would not recomend going on your own in Cartegena at all.

I was wondering about safety at Cartagena after reading the tips for tourists on the Pirate Zone. It made me second guess why Disney was going to make a stop there. However, I thought if it was only a block or so away, I might try it. I wonder if any of the organized city tours will make a stop there.
