Does anyone know how long hardboiled eggs last (in the fridge) if the shell is already peeled away? Is it less time than if they were left in the shell?

Ds won't eat breakfast because he says he has no time and I thought maybe if I had some eggs ready him to grab and eat, he'd have a bit of breakfast in him.

They would "dry out" really fast.. Do you have time to peel one or two in the morning while he's getting ready for school?

Duh. Hadn't thought of that.

Yes, I could. I have to leave for work an hour and a half before he leaves for school, but I guess they'd not dry out in that length of time. I'm usually just so rushed in the mornings. I wonder if they would dry out over night.

I just wish the crazy kid would do it himself (he's almost 14).

You can keep hard boiled eggs in fridge for up to a week. I wrap them in plastic wrap if I have peeled them already. I make lots of egg salad.

I was going to suggest putting them in baggies -- I peel mine at home and take them to work in baggies.
