Hard Apple Cider

Does anyone know if Hard Apple Cider is allowed on the ships? I know that beer and wine are and I'm not really sure where hard apple cider would fall into. The alcohol content is around the same as a beer. Has anyone tried bring this on board? Is it allowed or will they not allow me to bring it on?

I don't know if they are accepted on board but I know for sure that some bars on the cruiseships do sell hard apple cider.

If it is the US version that is a flavored malt beverage then it should be allowed. If it is the Canadian style made with vodka then it will not be allowed. Make sure it says "Malt Beverage" somewhere on the label.

Hard Cider and USA Mike Hard Lemonade should fall under the "Beer" category.

Just off of the Wonder. They have Angry Orchard on tap. They also had at least 2 different Swedish hard ciders. I tried the Pear - and it was better than most pear ciders I've had. They were out of the Strawberry - Lemonade one (sounds pretty sweet). Larger bottle (16 or 20 oz) and was $9.00

Glass bottles are fine. (remember it is all in your carry on, not checked bags).
