does anyone have pics of the lockout/studio? What is in there?
how far to the parks from harbour lake?

I think if you go to the Marriot Vaction Club website you will see it. They have more photos then on the general Marriot website.

We stayed in a lockout studio May of 2009. I will try to find you some photos. You will love this resort. If your refering to the Disney parks, they are not far. I think maybe 15 minutes. Sea World is about a mile and Universal is about 10 minutes away.

thanks...i found some videos on youtube. it seems kinda small though. We are exchanging thru II and they only have the studio left. It will be myself and Dh and our 3kids, 1 is an infant. we dont swim when we go in feb/march. Im not sure if its worth it to be so cramped. If we dont use the pools and spend most of our times at the park (rope drop til dinner) is it worth staying in the small space?

We can get a 2bedroom at high point world resort and some of the westgate places.
i heard the westgate places arent great though and i cant find much on the high point one.

I think 5 of you will be very cramped in a studio for a week. By the time you pull out the pull-out couch, you'll be climbing over things to get to the different parts of the room. There's only a kitchenette and no washer and dryer in the studio. The resort is fantastic for kids, but if you don't plan to swim and you don't need to be at this particular location, I would choose a nice 2br elsewhere for the space. If you can at least get a 1br at Harbour Lake, that would make a huge difference. I love Harbour Lake, but their best amenity are their pools.

Have you looked at the II "getaways" ? Sometimes their prices are only a little bit more than an exchange fee and you can save your week. Also at this time, if you're looking for feb/mar, you can probably score a 2br at any of the other Marriott's(maybe even Harbour lake) or Vistana Villages, which are all nice.

I don't really know anything about the 2 resorts you mentioned.
Good luck!

yea dh said the same thing about being cramped, and since we never swim in feb/march i think its pointless...im going to check out the getaways. It seems new stuff is opening up everyday tho. There hasnt been any Sheraton vistana villas and today there is, but for the day after we arrive. i guess i will keep checking a few times a day.

thanks for the advice!

I think you have a high chance of getting a great place if you're flexible, since you're in flexchange. I was surprised at how little inventory(1br or larger) there was for Orlando because it's usually overstocked with units. Given that Easter break is so late, I would have expected more in the feb/mar months.

Didn't know if you had a specific week in mind, but I just saw 2 weeks in a 2br at vistana villages(2/25-3/4 & 2/26-3/5) that were available. Any unit should work for a trade because it's within flexchange.
