The entrance sign that used to lead to guest parking is being removed today as it no longer leads to guest parking and is only an entrance for Toy Story parking lot buses. This is located at the Harbor and Disney Way cross. The sign will no longer be there.

Hopefully this will help stop people from trying to turn in there.

Wow the back of the Hyperion sure sticks out now.

Very much so...They need to do something with that. Paint it like the sky or something haha

I wonder if they are going to do any work on the bus entrance, having them make that crazy turn to get in is silly.

That was rumored to have already happened by some writer on MC.

I'd guess that area will get done before summer so everything can be done at the same time on that half of the resort. But you never know, the intersection is set up for that entrance, and will need to be redone as well.

while I wasn't crazy about the sign that's been there the last few years it is kind of sad to see that there's no more entrance sign on Harbor Blvd.

I have to say, I am shocked there isn't a huge Disneyland sign when you enter on Harbor Boulevard. Just that little thing that says Disneyland Resort or something along those lines. I wish they still had a sign similar to ones I see in old photos of Disneyland.

DW and I were just talking about this last Sunday. Yikes! I also find it hard to believe that the iconic "entrance" from Harbor Blvd is no more.

I know it was technically already gone but there was something nostalgic about that entrance. The current parking structure entrance is so bland by any measure. Not at all as welcoming as the original DISNEYLAND entrance. I was sort of hoping they would just leave that faux entrance in place indefinately.

Me too...though I'm old enough to remember seeing that fabulous old sign in real life. First you'd see the Matterhorn from the freeway, then you'd see the Monorail next to Harbor, and the back of it's a small world, and all the (to me, anyways) gloriously tacky themed motels/signs, and then...the Disneyland sign. With Park hours for the day on it. After that, drive through the wonderfully 50s/60s space age parking ticket booth area...and if you got there early enough, maybe be able to park so close you didn't need to ride the parking lot tram at the end of the day.

The 90s era sign had no emotional attachment for me...it was kind of silly to keep it there for so long after it was no longer an entrance for vehicles other than parking lot shuttles.

I'm going to miss the sign. We usually stay along Harbor...and just seeing that sign made me happy.

It is highly nostalgic to think about the old sign. At least for DL fans. You can revisit that old scene at the DLH pool area.
