Harbor Blvd Entrance

I've searched the forums for an hour trying to find out this question for myself, so I apologize if I've still missed the obvious. If you are staying at a hotel on Harbor Blvd, is there a way to get to Disneyland via a Harbor Blvd entrance? Last year we stayed at Paradise Pier and approached DL from the west side of DL/DCA. We crossed Disneyland Drive, then cut through the Grand Californian to walk the last bit of Downtown Disney toward security and the entrances to DL and DCA. It isn't clear to me that I could stay at a Harbor Blvd hotel, cross Harbor Blvd, and get to security and the DL/DCA entrances from the east side of DL. Not sure where we're staying next visit, but would like to know if entering DL from the Harbor Blvd side is even an option.

Absolutely...in fact that's how most guests arriving on foot do come in. There are two security entrances - the one that you described using that comes into the esplanade from Downtown Disney, and then one directly across from that on the other side which is where the Toy Story parking lot buses and other local buses and shuttles drop off guests. There is a very large crosswalk that crosses Harbor.

Oh yeah! Tons of people entering from Harbor Blvd! The crosswalk is at the "East Shuttle Area" light - right where the Best Western - Park Place and Captain Krudd's...I mean Captain Kidd's... buffet/eating hole is. Lots of people there at all times.
