Harambe Market, CHARMING! Photos as promised!

All of it was excellent! The 2 things that I will order first next trip are the ribs, and the wonderful Watermelon lemonade (which I didn't think I would care for!) Having said that, the chicken was pretty tasty.

Where did you order this food from, was it Chef Mwangs Rib shop? We usually only eat from Yak and Yeti, would like to try something different.

Hmmm...thinking I'm going to have to move that Kona reservation to our Epcot day. Thanks for sharing.

All of the food was from the Harambe Market. The stands are all Kind of connected Kitchen wise, so you can order nearly anything from any booth. The Rib place is sort of next to the other three, and we did go up and get the ribs on the second order.

Thank you for the report! I'm looking forward to checking this out next year. Is that shredded cheese on top of the ribs? (Or are my eyes really that bad?)

And congrats & best wishes to the happy young couple.

Thanks for posting this. I had somehow missed that this was a food court which is very smart.

That chicken kabob looks real good.

Food looks good but I am totally put off by the "yard sale" theme beside the wooden tables. It honestly looks junky to me. Thanks for posting the pics.

I thought it looked like julienned veggies.

Looks great! Love all the little details to make it look like a "real" African market.

How does the size of the kids' skewer compare to the adult's? My DS10 is between an adult and a kids appetite, so trying to gauge what will be the best for him ( and maybe for me too)!

CONGRATULATIONS!

how very sweet to get engaged on Main Street!

Loved the pictures and the review - and it all looks so old! Love Disneys themes

and - I love your Magic Band! I can't tell how you decorated it, but it looks special!

They are julienned veggies. Onions and carrots on the ribs I believe.

Had to look at the pictures again. Don't think my MB is in there. DH has one with the green alien from toy story, and DS's fiancé's is the UP balloons carrying the Tardis. I have a red one with the Incredibles logo, and a Chesire cat, and about a half dozen others I have painted.

We didn't get any of the kid's meals, most of the adult meals could be shared for a light meal or snack.

Your future DIL is officially Awesome.

Thanks, PPs - julienned veggies sound good, too, and a better look at the photos helped. (I think everything looks like cheese. I have cheese-dar.)

I have a side question... does this area opening up mean that at least a few of the walls that have been overwhelming AK are down?

Congratulations to your son and soon to be new daughter.

Great photos and report, thanks for sharing, looks great.

Thank you so much for this lovely review :flower3: I can't wait to check it out in July. That watermelon lemonade is on my list!
Also, I was totally confused as to where Harambe Market IS, so I'm glad you explained. Thanks!

I don't know that I would say that. I only noticed a couple of walls in this area over by Rafiki during any of this time. The Asia entrance was always kind of hidden by foliage. The walls around Asia, and the waterways are still there, but from the Everest ride could see lots of active construction. BTW, whatever building is going up in Avatarland is ENORMOUS!!! The walls are down by the front view of the Tree of Life, and that area is nicely opened up.

I guess I was so intrigued looking at the pictures that I really didn't pay attention to the words....

it was the picture of your DS' fiancé's magic band that caught my eye... I've also been stalking the thread on the Community Theme Park board on decorating your magic bands...
