Well one person remembered in my office today. I miss the days we went out to lunch. But I have some beautiful daffodils on my desk. have a great day everybody.

Happy Secretaries Day Everyone. My boss did remember and sent me beautiful flowers but a couple years ago when I was working for another guy he totally forgot and had to be told by someone else and then sent me a plant like a week later...To that I say too little too late. Everyone have a wonderful day!

Hey Kamy..... maybe you and I can send each other thank you gifts...... then at least we won't be completely forgotten.

I can't completely complain though, as my boss brings me doughnuts and sometimes orange juice or chocolate milk at least once a week and sometimes twice or three times...... (hence my subconscious avoidance of the W.I.S.H board).

It is called Administrative Assistanc's Day at my law firm. We are having a lunch for everyone. I am going to take my secretary to the Club later this week in addition to the firm function.

Well, call me "old fashioned", but I've been a secretary for 33 years now and no matter what they make my title, I'm still a secretary, and proud of it!

It's like that "Take Your Daughter to Work Day" is now "Take Your CHILD to Work Day" -- which I think is tomorrow -- and I'm sorry to say, around here it's more like "my child wanted to take the day off from school and I'm bringing them to work because they might learn something and all they are is bored and they disturb everyone around them" day.

OK, now that I've vented (LOL) -- let me say that for the past 6 years, I was a secretary to 2 VP's at my company, and the company decided to eliminate my position. So, now I'm a Admin Coordinator for a department, and I hate it! Plus, my ex-boss always remembered Secretaries Day and acknowledged it in some form (not necessarily looking for gifts), but in this new department, I guess I'm chopped liver.

Oh, well, at least I'm employed -- that's the only thing that keeps me going...

FOJMO - I am old fashioned also and it has been about 35 years as a secretary for me. Actual title Admin. Assistant III. Glad I have a job and we had a great lunch with everyone from my department coming along.

I've been working for my new boss now for about 9 months and she had a HUGE bouquet of flowers delivered to my office today, it was almost embarassing it was so big - I'll never see anything like that from my husband!! My title is "Executive Assistant" but am actually a project coordinator on a couple of large projects at the hospital where I work..........it's just too difficult to re-write job descriptions! Anyway, it's know to be remembered! I also received a card, some candy and some flowers from others who have asked for my assistance in the past - I really do like my job!
