Pi Day!

I did already text “happy pi day” to several others earlier today. I bought pi day t shirts for my children maybe five years ago now.

Quirky fun day and also the area code for my area so double fun today ! Happy pi day !!! 🥧
I’m too old for something to have been done in school but they did and do now things in school.🏫 fun way to talk about math !!!

Ironically I struggled in Math going thru school but I loved teaching it on my many long term Math jobs.

Speaking of Pi....DH bought me a chocolate cream pie yesterday. :thumbsup2

I am okay at math.....but the rest of the adult family are really good at it.....2 engineers and a teacher.
DH and DD always exchange "Happy Pi" day.
Our house lot is 314
DH has a pi shirt and a pi poster in his office. It is Pi sign with all the numbers that would fit around the symbol

I struggled with math growing up. My very limited education did not include anything about Pi as far as I recall, but I'm not surprised by that at all. I really didn't see things about Pi until I got online much later in life and had to figure out what all the memes meant when I saw them on certain days for certain subjects.

I'll never turn down some pie though. Well, I have to limit it a great deal now, but it's one of my personal favorite desserts. The no sugar added variety I sometimes buy seems to work pretty well for my diabetes. I have to very much limit it, but I get to enjoy just a bit if I'm careful and in moderation. :)

Today is my BFF's birthday, and @Toolulu22, she married a mathematician.

I will talk to her later. She lives 2 hours away from me.

However, later today, I'll be celebrating Holi with my daughter. It is the Hindu celebration of colors. It's a day of peace and harmony.

So, Happy Pi Day! Happy Birthday to my BFF! Best Wishes to @Toolulu22's friends! Happy Holi!!!

P-Mom comin' through in a pinch:love: My math skills have improved considerably now that Alexa and Siri are on-hand. I do like many types of pie, might grab a slice over the weekend:)

Math is not a favorite. We never did anything to celebrate when I was growing up. I do recall the kids having a few Pi related assignments in elementary school; however, our spring break is usually aligned with the Daylight Savings shift which also typically coincides with Pi Day. So, it's been years since Pi Day fell in line with a regular school week. I do like pie, but I tend to overdo it. I've been working really hard since November to try and get my weight down, so I will not be indulging in any pie today.

I know Pi, don't jump up and down in happiness, but am willing to eat pie.

I really thought this poll was going to be "What's your favorite pie"?

I’m making a pie to celebrate today - Oreo mousse with chocolate ganache in a graham cracker crust. My son’s girlfriend’s brother is hoping to get accepted to MIT today since this is the day they announce their acceptances.
