Will Happy Limo stop at the Publix (or equivalent) on the way to the port? They said they would, but Tiffany said there was not a food store between MCO and PC and they could only do 7-11. (Dave from Marietta says there is?! I did my M.S. at UGA, GO DAWGS!!)

Very confused! I specifically told HL that I did not want to stop at 7-11 and they assured me that they would stop at a regular food store. Tiffany seemed happy to cancel my ressie, very disapointed because we had used them in the past, plus they were a lot less than HL!

Travelling with DD 8 months and don't want to lug diapers on the plane!! (Am bringing formula, she is very picky and I am not risking anything! I would love it if she would gain 5 lbs. during the cruise instead of me!!)

3 days and a wake up!!!:bounce:

Thanks,
Susan Bryan and Grace

Barb has said that Happy will be "happy" to do a grocery stop on the way to the port. Not sure why Tiffany denies that there's a store on the way. The Publix I've mentioned has only been open since August... fairly new, but around long enough that you'd think they would have discovered it.

Anyway, recapping for others...

If you're driving to the port or taking a towncar service, the easiest place to stop for groceries is Publix. Their new Cocoa Commons store is just off the SR-524 exit. As you're traveling on SR-528 towards the port, SR-524 is the first exit east of I-95. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right. The Publix is right in front of you.

This is the perfect place to stock up on the munchies, sodas, beer, and wine (or diapers and formula) that you plan to carry onboard.

Unfortunately my experience with Happy Limo was not a good one this past September. They were 20 minutes late picking me up at my hotel and although I had ordered the "food stop", they never stopped and we were pulling into the Port Canaveral area, and running late, so I did not bring it up to the driver.

They were also late picking us up at Port Canavaeral to return to the airport, and I happened to run into Scoobey (from another limo company) who graciously started calling them for me, although he had no idea who I was at first. Both times they were late, I was only able to obtain an answering machine at their office phone number.

Suffice it to say I shall not use them again.

Could Tiffany have entered some kind of deal with 7-11? With many people heading to the port that seems to me to be a lucrative possibility.

We have used Happy several times (most recently 1/17-20), and although we have not taken advantage of the grocery stop, they have offered it to us on several of the trips even tho' we did not request it in advance.

We just traveled with Tiffany Towncar this month and they did stop at a grocery store but it was from MCO to WDW. Name of the store?????

When I talked to HL getting prices, they said the grocery stop would be either a Kash & Karry or and Albertson's. But they also said arriving after midnight limits the choices, too. Fortunatly, we will be arriving early morning. Since the stop is only supposed to be 15 minutes, and weare doing 5 days at wdw first, we are gathering a goodie box together with cereal, plastic bowls, spoons, non-perishable non-crushable chips ( pringles) crackers, packaged cookeis and friut cups, zip lock bags, etc. A week before arrival, we are mailing the box to our resort to be there when we arrive. Then on the grocery stop, we only need milk, bread, etc. With personal sized soft coolers, we can pack in a lunch to each park to store in a locker and have breakfast at the hotel first. Has anyone here done this? Any problems with the idea?

Unfortunately, for those cruising, it is not possible to mail packages ahead of time to the Port Terminal. All baggage must accompany you upon arrival at the ship. You could check such a box with your checked luggage, but it would have to be done on the day you embark.
