A few years ago I went on the In Walts Footsteps Tour and it was a lot of fun and some great info. This year I wanted to try the Happy Haunts Tour. Wow, was this different. A little over the top. My question is, without giving away any spoilers for anyone who might be going on it, but for people who did it in the past is it always the same? is it always about a "lamp" or do they change the tour every year?

I can't answer your question, but I was wondering if you would elaborate on what you thought about the tour? We are arriving on the 28th and are trying to decide whether or not to do this. Our family is Me, DH, and DD (10). The only tour we have done was the one where you go on a treasure hunt, I forget the name, but we loved it! Thanks for the feedback!

There is a very recent podcast (disunplugged is great but i think it was on mousetalgia) and they mentioned the lamp as well.

If possible, listen to the mousetalgia podcast (#154 I think) for some insider info (couple of possible spoilers). More info here: http://disneyland.disney.go.com/tours/

I think your 10 yr old might find it fun. I found it a little over the top. I went on the In Walts Footsteps tour and you get lots of info, etc., this one is a treasure hunt to save Disneyland. If you liked the treasure hunt before, you may really like this. The CM is in acting mode the entire tour. I really thought the tour was going to be more the history of the ghost attractions, halloween stuff, etc. Instead, it really is more of a hunt for something. I don't want to give anything away, but if you want more details just PM me :)

My husband and I enjoyed it. Our guide was Danielle and she was joined by Gracie. They played off each other well. There was another tour that left 15 minutes after ours, and they passed us early in the tour. It appeared their guide wasn't very chatty. There were a few in our tour rolling their eyes, but we took it all in, played along and had a great time. :)

Did this tour last night and it is still about the "lamp"

It was a good tour but longer than I anticipated, I thought it would only be two hours so I booked it for 4p.m. thinking it would only be two hours then we could join in on the halloween fun right at 6, it ended at 7:20, we didnt miss out on too much at the party, but I should have researched a little bit more...my bad! still a fun tour!

We did it last Sunday. Can't remember are regular guides name but Gracie joined us also.

My 9 year old loved it and handled the 3 1/2 hour tour fine.
