Happy for DDP!!

My DH and I just decided to go ahead and get the dining plan! This morning I was crunching numbers and discovered that I had budgeted enough $$ for food that it was only about another $150 total for us to get the DDP and we'd get to eat 2 more TS and a QS everyday and I wouldn't have to cook in our room this vacation! I know many people say you can do it cheaper but I do like the thought of not having to cook, plus not having to get the cheapest entrees to ensure a smaller bill at the end...I can be a bit obsessive about $$ so now I won't have to worry...the budget crunching is out of my hands as is the cooking! Woo hoo!!

i'm sure that it can be done cheaper but to me the convenience of knowing it is prepaid is worth the xtra cost 100%. Plus I love being able to try restaurants that we normally would not try eating OOP. Congrats on getting the dining plan. I'm sure u will love it!!

Congratulations! We did the DDP our first WDW trip, and have done it every time since. We just love having it taken care of ahead of time and enjoy not having to think about the price at each meal. Getting to enjoy the dining is a huge part of the fun for us. Enjoy!

We are another *love the Dining Plan* family. We had always used it until our last trip. We decided to see if we could do it better for less...and I was miserable. Too much thinking and worrying about food costs during the trip for me. We may very well have saved a few $$$ - but the amount of time I spent worrying about our food budget...not worth it to me.

I agree! I love not having to have my DH worry about everything that our oldest DS orders. He is 14, eats a ton and ALWAYS wants the most expensive thing on the menu. It is a win-win for us! Happy DH = Happy vacation!
