Hope everyone is enjoying the great weather we were blessed with - you know you're Canadian when you think 0 and sunny is 'great weather'!!

What is everyone doing to celebrate family day this weekend?

We went golfing yesterday - was GREAT fun - first time golfing in the snow and I'm positive we'll do it again!! Didn't loose 1 single ball in the water hazards..... they were all frozen!! Was a great family day out - got lots of fresh air and exercise too.... not to mention that the 14.5yo 'lost' the putt on the 9th hole and had to buy the tea on the way home!!

Today we are having a nice quiet day catching up on the cleaning then 9yo ds still has his riding lesson tonight so I get more exercise attempting to catch his pony that probably has an early version of spring fever.... the things we do for our kids !!

Both DD's are having a nice relaxing day. The older one is actually doing homework
DH is working from home. He was allowed to bank his family day and add it on to our vacation at the end of the summer
I am working tonight. There are no days off in the restaurant industry. So I will happily bank the extra stat pay money into our vacation fund

It's sunny in Calgary too, and we won't let the -15 temp stop us. We are about to go Ice Skating at the park.

No holiday for us Federal Employees (even those working in Ontario).

So I am *enjoying* my family day away from my family here at work.

I went cross-country skiing with DS and DW is off somewhere with DD. Might be the zoo, might be the ROM. They were discussing it when we left.

I too went to work to get the premium pay. Going to WDW in 26 days so the extra $ will help.

we spent the day having a nice breakfast, then went swimming for FREE at the local pool. we had a lovely dinner and are now just getting prepared for bed. all in all a great family day!

I enjoyed making time and a half!!!!

I cleaned my family's closets. It was time to get rid of two year old outgrown clothes. Laundry baskets could no longer be stuffed in drawers. Gak! Prob not the best use of a holiday.

family went out to see the movie Slumdog Millionaire and dinner at the Mandarin.

I spent a good part of the day working on report cards. It was kind of nice to have an extra day to do that.
